{"id":705,"date":"2023-03-27T21:40:04","date_gmt":"2023-03-27T13:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sunvot.com\/?p=705"},"modified":"2023-03-27T22:02:11","modified_gmt":"2023-03-27T14:02:11","slug":"trademark-guaidlines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sunvot.com\/?p=705","title":{"rendered":"TRADEMARK GUIDELINES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p><h4><strong>TRADEMARK USAGE GUIDELINES<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>SUNVOT&#8217;s trademarks, service marks, trade dress, and logos (\u201cTrademarks\u201d) represent intellectual property rights owned by SUNVOT and as such are valued assets of SUNVOT. These Trademarks, whether registered or unregistered, must be used in accordance with these Trademark Usage Guidelines (\u201cGuidelines\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any use of a SUNVOT Trademark must comply with applicable laws and requires strict compliance with these Guidelines. While in some instances wordmarks can be used without a license to truthfully convey information about SUNVOT\u2019s products or services or compatibility therewith as long as the use does not cause confusion as to source or affiliation, any other use of a SUNVOT Trademark requires an appropriate license agreement. SUNVOT\u2019s logo marks can never be used by third parties without express authorization by SUNVOT. Requests for a trademark license may be submitted to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:legal@sunvot.com\">legal@sunvot.com<\/a>&nbsp;Upon approval, SUNVOT will provide appropriate logo files for your use. By using any SUNVOT Trademarks, you acknowledge that SUNVOT is the sole owner of the Trademarks and agree not to interfere with SUNVOT\u2019s rights in the Trademarks, including challenging SUNVOT\u2019s use, registration of, or application to register such Trademarks. You agree that you will not harm, misuse, or bring into disrepute any SUNVOT Trademarks and that the goodwill, if any, derived from your use of any SUNVOT Trademarks exclusively inures to the benefit of and belongs to SUNVOT. You may not use any SUNVOT Trademarks in metatags, search fields, hidden text, or any other form that has the purpose or effect of diverting or confusing consumers without SUNVOT&#8217;s prior written permission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p><h4><strong>Applicability of Guidelines<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>These Guidelines apply to SUNVOT employees, customers, licensees,\nconsultants, authorized resellers, outside vendors, reporters, and other third\nparties. Note that if you are a licensee of a SUNVOT Trademark, the license\nagreement that you signed with SUNVOT may contain specific usage guidelines\nthat differ from those contained within these Guidelines, and in such case you\nshould follow those specific guidelines provided within such license agreement.\nIf you are a licensee, but have been provided no special guidelines, then\nfollow these Guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>List of SUNVOT Trademarks<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The list of SUNVOT Trademarks provided here may be updated with new\ninformation from time-to-time and without notice and should be referred to\nregularly. Note that the list may not be comprehensive, and the omission of a SUNVOT\nTrademark from the list does not represent any waiver of any intellectual\nproperty rights of SUNVOT in or to such Trademark. Other product names or\ntrademarks, including those appearing on SUNVOT\u2019s websites, that are not owned\nby SUNVOT are for identification purposes only and may be the registered or\nunregistered trademarks of their respective owners. No license or right is\ngranted by SUNVOT by implication, estoppel or otherwise to any such third-party\nnames or trademarks or to the SUNVOT Trademarks hereby. Note that these Guidelines may be\nmodified by SUNVOT from time-to-time in its sole discretion. Specifically,\nensure that you:\n\n1.\nfollow the directives within these Guidelines;<br>\n2. use the appropriate trademark symbol and acknowledgment of SUNVOT&#8217;s\nownership of the particular Trademark;<br>\n3. do not incorporate SUNVOT Trademarks into your own trademarks, service\nmarks, logos, or company names; and<br>\n4. do not adopt marks or logos that imitate, play on, refer to, or are\nconfusingly similar to any SUNVOT Trademarks.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use of SUNVOT Trademarks<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When using a SUNVOT Trademark, ensure that you: 1. Except in the case of slogans and taglines, ALWAYS use a Trademark as an adjective, accompanied by an appropriate generic noun that defines the relevant product or service (e.g. \u201cSUNVOT\u00ae Outdoor CPE is an excellent product\u201d). Do NOT use a Trademark as a noun (e.g. \u201cSUNVOT\u00ae is an excellent product\u201d).<br> 2. Do NOT pluralize a Trademark or make it possessive.<br> 3. Do NOT combine a Trademark with other words, symbols, or numbers, either as one word or with a hyphen.<br> 4. Do NOT abbreviate or alter a Trademark.<br> 5. Do Not change the color or typeface of a Trademark featuring a design element.<br> 6. ALWAYS use such Trademark as an adjective, accompanied by an appropriate noun (e.g. \u201cSUNVOT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>&nbsp;Outdoor CPE is an excellent product\u201d). Do NOT use a Trademark as a noun (e.g. \u201cSUNVOT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>&nbsp;is an excellent product\u201d). Do NOT pluralize a Trademark or make it possessive. Do NOT combine a Trademark with other words, symbols, or numbers, either as one word or with a hyphen. Do NOT abbreviate a Trademark;<br> 7. ALWAYS use the proper spelling and the proper trademark symbol (<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, \u2122 or&nbsp;<sup>SM<\/sup>&nbsp;as applicable). For the trademark symbol, use the superscript format, but if this is not possible, then use parentheses ((R), (TM) or (SM) as applicable) ; and  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Identification of SUNVOT Trademarks<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1. In letters, memos, press releases, white\npapers, advertising, slides, foils, video, and other multimedia presentations,\nensure that you properly identify (with \u00ae, \u2122 or SM as applicable) each SUNVOT\nTrademark at the most prominent use (often in the headline) and again in the\nfirst occurrence. For presentation graphics, each SUNVOT Trademark should be\ndesignated with the proper trademark symbol on each page, slide, and foil;<br>\n2. In newsletters, magazines, and publications containing multiple articles,\nproperly identify each SUNVOT Trademark in the first occurrence in the Table of\nContents, in headlines and in the first occurrence in every article in which it\nis used;<br>\n3. In brochures, financial reports, books, white papers, data sheets, technical\ndocumentation, and other bound documents, properly identify each SUNVOT\nTrademark in the first occurrence in the Table of Contents, in headlines, and\nin the first occurrence in text;<br>\n4. In all charts and graphs, properly identify each SUNVOT Trademark, as such\ncharts and graphs could become separated, copied and used independently; and\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Proper Use Examples of SUNVOT Trademarks<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>SUNVOT\u00ae Indoor CPE<br> SUNVOT \u00ae Outdoor CPE<br> SUNVOT \u00ae Dongle<br> SUNVOT \u00ae Mifi;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acknowledgement of SUNVOT Trademarks\n\nEnsure\nthat you include a proper trademark ownership notice that identifies each SUNVOT\nTrademark used as being owned by NINGBO SUNVOT TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD. (e.g. &#8220;SUNVOT\u00ae\nis trademark of NINGBO SUNVOT TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD.&#8221;)\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use of \u201cSUNVOT\u201d as a Trademark vs. Trade name<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\u201cSUNVOT\u201d is not only a trademark used to\nidentify SUNVOT\u2019s products and services; it also serves as SUNVOT\u2019s company\nname. Therefore, the word \u201cSUNVOT\u201d is generally used in two (2) different ways:\n(i) as a trade name to identify NINGBO SUNVOT TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD. the company;\nor (ii) as a trademark to identify its various products. \u201cSUNVOT\u201d is used as a\ntrade name when NINGBO SUNVOT TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD. the company is taking some\naction or referenced as having some attribute (e.g. \u201cSUNVOT announced its\nearnings for this quarter\u201d). When referenced as a trade name, there is no need\nto include a trademark symbol after \u201cSUNVOT\u201d.&nbsp;\u201cSUNVOT\u201d is used as a\ntrademark when SUNVOT is an adjective used as a brand name for its products\n(e.g. \u201cSUNVOT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>&nbsp;Outdoor CPE\ndevices are aimed at mobile and consumer applications\u201d).
